UNDP is calling for proposals to support Training, Situational Analysis and the Development of the Joint Project for the Inclusion of People with Disabilities.
Objectives
- In its fourth round of funding, the ‘ UNPRPD / MPTFs invited the United Nations country team (UNCT) to submit proposals projets joint with the following objectives:
- Advance the implementation of the CRPD by focusing on the essential preconditions for disability inclusion in all sectors, translating them into concrete policies, programs and / or services that lead to systemic change through a comprehensive approach coherent intersectoral.
- Improve and increase the implementation of the disability-inclusive SDGs by providing fundamental support to the collective United Nations response to the SDGs to address national priorities and disability-related gaps in national planning.
- Three cross-cutting approaches are intrinsically applied to all work of the UNPRPD / MPTF, including its structures, programs and processes:
- Enable the full and effective participation of people and children with disabilities and their representative organizations;
- Ensure the inclusion of marginalized and under-represented groups of people and children with disabilities; and
- Address gender inequalities and advance the rights of women and girls with disabilities against violence, discrimination and abuse.
- The objective of this consultation is to recruit a firm to support the United Nations system and the Government for the implementation of the activities planned for the initial phase of the 4th fund for disability inclusion in Benin. Specifically the firm load will have to:
- A campaigner the SNU for the logistical preparation and facilitation of the initial training workshop and consultations with stakeholders including children and adolescents;
- Conduct a situational analysis of the Han people of Benin;
- Develop the document pro jet spouse inclusion of people with disabilities.
Theme
- This fourth funding round focuses on three major themes: reforms for the implementation of the CRPD and SDGs focus at country level through a multi-stakeholder approach, and response and recovery in the context of COVID -19.
Deliverables
The main products expected from this support are as follows:
- Report of the training initial: after having facilitated, monitored and evaluated in the initial formation, the firm has to produce a report summarizing the views of participants, comments and reflections (eg on the content of the training the next steps, the implications for the country analysis, monitoring), etc. .
- Report of the analysis of the situation: a report diagnosis will be produced for this r the situation of inclusion of disabled people in Benin. Strengths and opportunities, strengths and weaknesses.
- Proposal projects spouse: consultants offer a project full, detailed and budgeted. This project will be written in French and an English version and will be shared with stakeholders.
Competencies
- This task you will be driven e by a law which must meet the following qualifications:
- Office registered and with experience in inclusion people and dare children with disabilities;
- Capable of assigning at least three staff members (1 team leader and 2 assistants) for this task;
- Proven good capacity to organize and facilitate workshops on political advocacy on human rights, equity, disability inclusion and capacity building of PHOs on the CRPD and the SDGs;
- Proven knowledge and experience of working with United Nations agencies;
- Ability to work e n network with line ministries, organizations of disabled persons and relevant NGOs and partners;
- Good command of French and English.
- Academic qualification:
- Postgraduate Diploma (BAC + 5) in Social Sciences, Disability Studies, International Development Cooperation or Humanitarian Action, or other relevant qualification, or equivalent relevant work experience in the field of disability, development / humanitarian organizations and international.
- Experiences
- 4 to 6 years of professional experience in the field of disability, development and implementation of the CRPD in national or international organizations;
- Proven experience in leading and facilitating multi-stakeholder trainings;
- Proven experience in the inclusion of persons with disabilities and good understanding of the CRPD and other related international commitments;
- Good understanding of political and programmatic issues related to the promotion of the rights of persons with disabilities in Benin;
- Bonne understanding of the development and / or humanitarian process (including process led by the UN);
- Extensive experience in training management and demonstrated ability to adjust the pitch and method of training according to the audience and the context;
- Experience with inclusive facilitation techniques (working with sign language interpreters, with groups from various backgrounds and learning approaches, using multiple communication tools, etc.) ;
- Experience working with organizations of persons with disabilities and demonstrated experience of working to ensure participation of under-represented groups;
- Comprehension prerequisites for inclusion (equality and non-discrimination, accessibility, participation of disabled people, budgeting and financial management conform to the CD PH , and accountability and governance).
- Experience in negotiating the roles of organizations of persons with disabilities, including under-represented groups, in development cooperation or humanitarian programming as well as in processes at the national level.
- Experience and knowledge of inclusive facilitation techniques.
