UNDP (United Nations Program United Nations for Development) in partnership with the National Commission for the Fight Against Terrorism (CNLCT) has launched the “TARABOT – Cohesion to prevent violence” project with an aim to define a shared vision of prevention of violent extremism that is evidence-based and supported by open collaboration with civil society actors, local authorities and the private sector.
The project focuses specifically on approaches to development, unsafe, and on the creation of relationships of trust between citizens and more competent, efficient and accountable institutions, by opening up channels for consultation and collaboration with Tunisian society.
Objectives
- The proposals submitted must imperatively pursue the following objectives:

- Represent the lives of young people and their vision of the future in a documentary film format
- Illustrate a personal perspective for achieving a common future
- Expose the deeper difficulties, dilemmas and contradictions of the contexts of marginalization faced by Tunisian youth
- Represent the protagonists in a humanizing way, deconstructing stereotypes and clichés social
- Promote inter-generational dialogue
- Deal constructively with the challenge of trust between citizens and institutions
- Promote gender equality, tolerance and respect for all cultures, races, religions and nationality.
- The financial support offered by UNDP within the framework of this ART Challenge is a maximum of 50,000 TND per project.
- The expected duration of a project should not exceed 3 months.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility of Individuals Carrying out Projects
- Individual project leaders must meet the following conditions in order to be pre-selected:
- Be a young artist, woman or man, between 18 and 40 years old
- Be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action and not limit yourself to an intermediary role;
- Be independent from political parties or movement
- Cannot participate in the challenge, the promoters of projects which, at the time of their application and during its assessment:
- As part of a contract with the UNDP or other UN organization, were declared in serious breach of performance due to non-compliance with their contractual obligations;
- Find themselves in a situation of conflict of interest;
- Have made false statements when submitting their initiative to the challenge or have failed to provide required information to UNDP;
- Are in good standing or are the subject of bankruptcy, legal proceedings or settlement proceedings or who are in a similar situation resulting from a procedure of the same nature existing in national laws and regulations.
Eligibility of Youth Associations
- Project promoters, formed in association, must meet the following conditions to be preselected:
- To be a group of young artists, between 18 and 40 years old, constituted in association in accordance with Decree-Law 88-2011 on the organization of associations;
- Be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action and not limit yourself to an intermediary role;
- Be independent from political parties or movements;
- Comply with the provisions of Law No. 2018-48 relating to the declaration of assets and interests, the fight against illicit enrichment and conflict of interest.
- Be registered in the national register of companies in accordance with the provisions of the law n ° 2018-52.
- Young entrepreneurs with a project must meet the following conditions tobe preselected:
- Be a young woman or man, between 18 and 40 years old;
- Own a business (including a sole proprietorship), with legal status in accordance with the law and regulations in force, directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action and not limited to an intermediary role;
- Be independent from political parties or movements (the young entrepreneur and hiscompany);
- Be registered in the national register of enterprises in accordance with the provisions of thelaw n ° 2018-52 and hold a copy of the license.
