The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has launched a call for project proposals for the implementation of legal and judicial support activities for victims of gender-based violence through support to legal clinics.
Objectives
- Support the commitment of men, women and young people as well as communities to adopt attitudes and social and cultural norms respectful of the sexes and to contribute to the fight against GBV;
- Strengthen the power and resilience of GBV survivors and parents of minor survivors through the consolidation and development of holistic care mechanisms such as the CISM (Integrated Center for Multisectoral Services) and other service delivery structures as well as through the mobilization of community networks for warning, prTraining, Events, Workshops and Conferencesion and responses to GBV;
- Strengthen the efficiency of the national coordination ajin to allow the actors involved in the fight against GBV to put in place prTraining, Events, Workshops and Conferencesion and response strategies to GBV.
Goals
- Strengthen access to justice for victims of sexual violence in travels:
- “Legal guidance and information”: welcome, inform and guide free of charge survivors of GBV who come spontaneously to the CJ or refer (by the UNS, NGOs, community relays, etc.) about the legal options available to elks in the Training, Events, Workshops and Conferences of a violation of their rights in order to Training, Events, Workshops and Conferencesually assert them before the courts or alternatively references to other support points (medical, psycho-social or reintegration).
- Legal assistance: provide support, follow-up and representation before the police, the prosecution offices and the courts of the survivors who have agreed to take legal action.
- The establishment of synergies with actors from other counters and other actors working in the field of justice in order to facilitate the care of survivors of GBV.
- Contribute to improving the legal and judicial protection of women and men victims of gender-based violence by using the legal and judicial protection mechanisms put in place, including awareness-raising actions.
Beneficiaries
- The direct beneficiaries of the project are the women and men victims of gender-based violence.
- The period of implementation of the Project is included from the date of the signature of the contract in March 3, 2023.
- The amount of the implementation of the project amounts to 22,381.6$ for the financial year 2021-2022 (12 months) for the 2022-2023 fiscal year will be set on the basis of the target which will be terminated after evaluation of the previous fiscal year.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility and qualification of the NGO
- Have a valid operating authorization and / or legal personality issued by the competent authority
- Be an already operational structure on the ground in the aforementioned areas, with good expertise in the field of coordinating the activities of a Legal Clinic and legal and / or judicial assistance provided to victims of gender-based violence and a proven experience in the field of community awareness
