UNFPA, United Nations Population Fund, an international development agency is currently inviting qualified organizations to submit proposals for the capacity development of service providers working at UNFPA supported Women and Girls Safe Spaces / Youth Centers under the humanitarian component of 6th Country Programme.
The purpose of the Invitation for Proposals is to identify eligible non-governmental organizations for prospective partnership with UNFPA Turkey to support achievement of results listed below.
Expected Results
The expected results to be achieved are:
- Capacity development of new / existing service providers working WGSS / Youth Centers around Turkey on subjects related to sexual and reproductive health (SRH), sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) and empowerment. The topics may include, but not limited to below:
- Mental Health and psychosocial support (up to: 140 participants)
- Communication and counseling (up to: 140 participants)
- Case management (up to: 40 participants)
- Clinical management of rape (up to: 40 participants)
- STI (including HIV/AIDS) counseling, diagnosis and treatment at primary health care level (up to: 40 participants)
- Youth friendly health services / adolescent health (up to: 30 participants)
- Legal counseling (up to: 40 participants)
- Training of health mediators (up to: 200 participants)
- Supervision of WGSS / Youth Centers staff on provision of SRH and / or SGBV response services (psychosocial support, case management, referral, etc.) through periodic face to face and/or online sessions (up to: 200 participants)
- Improved staff well-being of WGSS / Youth Centers / UNFPA staff through staff well-being sessions (up to: 230 participants)
How to Apply
- The expression of interest shall include the following documentation:
- Copy of provisions of legal status of the NGO in Turkey [Required being eligible for review]
- Copy of provisions of legal status of the NGO in home country (for INGOs)
- Attachment I – NGO Profile and Programme Proposal
- The applicant may propose working on one or more result areas listed above. The programme proposal should clearly explain which of the above result(s) the NGO is proposing to contribute to and indicate estimated costs of each result as a separate component. Also estimated cost of each training course should be indicated separately.
- Latest annual report and audit report as separate documents or hyperlink to the documents
- Organizations that wish to participate in this Invitation for Proposals are requested to send their submission through email or mail clearly marked “NGO Invitation for Proposals” at the address given on the website.
