The Best Beginnings is inviting applications for the Safer Beginnings Onward Grant Program to support women and girls across the UK.
Grants are available for organisations working in England, Scotland, and Wales with a specialist knowledge of and work with communities of women and girls who are at risk of, or living within, circumstances of violence and harm.
Funding Information
- England Total= £100,000 3 Grants of between £15,000-£40,000
- Wales Total £25,000= 1-2 Grants of between £10,000-£25,000
- Scotland Total £25,000= 1-2 Grants of between £10,000-£25,000
Outcomes
- Please specify the outcomes of your proposed activity, what will the impact of your programme be for your a community about increasing self-agency to reduce the harm caused by violence?
- How will your outcomes support Best Beginnings in achieving the aim of the Safer Beginnings programme and how you will evidence your success?
Eligibility Criteria
- Open to charities, community interest companies, not-for-profit groups, and grassroots movements that can evidence appropriate financial management, governance, and safeguarding controls.
- VAT is not covered in the funding and cannot be claimed.
- Organisations in receipt of funding from DCMS must declare this and highlight that the Safer Beginnings programme will be separate from current funding from them
- Safer Beginnings funding cannot be for more than 30% of your last year’s annual turnover
- Where the proposed activity includes content creation for Baby Buddy 2.0, the IP of this content will belong to Best Beginnings. If you plan to use the content outside of Baby Buddy you must indicate where and how, and what added value this will bring.
- Research can be included in your proposal but projects that only undertake research will not be eligible.
- All programmes will be complete by March 2023.
- Applicants must submit quarterly reports to Best Beginnings in line with the reporting requirements.
