The William Wates Memorial Trust’s (WWMT) Grant to support projects that encourage young people experiencing severe disadvantage to keep away from anti-social behavior and criminal activity, enabling them to fulfill their potential.
The William Wates Memorial Trust exists to celebrate the life of William Wates (1977 – 1996) who was tragically killed when traveling in Central America.
Funding Information
- Generally, the individual Grants are around £30,000 over 3 years.
- At any one time, they would also expect to have 2 -3 Grants which will be in the region of £30,000 – £50,000 pa over a 3 year period.
Eligibility Criteria
- Projects should help the most disadvantaged 5-19 yr olds.
- Applications should clearly define what success looks like and how it will be measured.
- They primarily support projects in London and the South East. However they will also consider national projects proposed by the Le Loop riders.
- Organizations will ideally have no more than 60% of their turnover from public service contracts or other commissioned work.
- Organizations should be registered charities or not for profit enterprises.
