The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) is seeking applications for funding for the OJJDP fiscal year (FY) 2021 Delinquency Prevention Grants Program.

- Category 1: State Delinquency Prevention Programs: $1,500,000.00
- Category 2: Tribal Delinquency Prevention Programs: $500,000.00

- Period of Performance Duration (Months): 60
- Category 1: State Delinquency Prevention Programs: States funded under Category 1 are required to provide subgrants to units of local government to increase the availability and types of community-based prevention programs to address the needs of youth who are at risk of involvement in the juvenile justice system. Successful applicants are expected to:
- evaluate the capacity of eligible entities to apply for a subgrant under this program,
- give priority to eligible units of local government that demonstrate ability in developing data-driven prevention programs that include the use of evidencebased prevention strategies, and
- provide support to units of local government in carrying out the objectives of this grant.
- Category 2: Tribal Delinquency Prevention Programs: Tribal entities funded under Category 2 will support the development and implementation of programs that address the needs of tribal youth. Funding will be used to enhance responses to juvenile delinquency in tribal communities.
- Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized), State governments, Other.
- For purposes of this solicitation, “state” means any state of the United States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, Guam, American Samoa, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
- To advance Executive Order Safe Policing for Safe Communities, the Attorney General determined that all state, local, and university or college law enforcement agencies must be certified by an approved independent credentialing body or have started the certification process to be allocated FY 2021 DOJ discretionary grant funding, as either a recipient or a subrecipient.
- All recipients and subrecipients (including any for-profit organization) must forgo any profit or management fee.
