The Alabama State Council on the Arts is pleased to launch the Alabama Arts Recovery Program to provide in-person exhibitions, concerts, performances, readings, and programming to Alabamians, the Council on the Arts recognizes the need for financial support for:
- Existing and new full-time, part-time, and contract personnel/artist fees related to general operating
- Facility costs (excluding HVAC and home offices)
- Health safety supplies for staff and public
- The promotion and marketing of arts organizations re-opening to the public
- Technology and equipment that supports an arts organization (not to exceed $5,000 per item)
Funding Information
Based on the needs demonstrated in the application, grants will be awarded in these amounts:
- $10,000
- $15,000
- $20,000
- $25,000
Eligibility Criteria
Applicant organizations must:
- Be a 501(c)3, located in Alabama, in good standing
- Have an arts focus
- Have expenses that fall into the funded categories (staff, facilities, health safety supplies, marketing and promotion, or technology and equipment.
Applicants may not be:
- Individuals
- Current recipients of operating support grants from the Council on the Arts
- Current partners or collaborative ventures of the Council on the Arts
- Fiscal agents for other organizations
- Fundraising organizations or auxiliary support organizations
- K-12 schools, colleges, or universities
