Deadline: 6-Sep-22
The Denver Foundation is now accepting applications for the Climate Equity Fund, a project of the Loewy Family Fund.
The mission of the Climate Equity Fund is to support innovative local projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions while meeting the needs of communities most impacted by climate change.
The Climate Equity Fund seeks to deploy resources to nonprofit organizations that are addressing climate change. Eligible organizations must be able to articulate how their specific program reduces carbon emissions in a measurable way, and how it supports individuals, communities, and neighborhoods in efforts to reduce climate change and improve community well-being. To be clear, a two pronged approach will be used to evaluate grant proposals:
- Will the project reduce emissions?
- Is there a focus on equity?
Funding Information
- Grant ranges are expected to be in the $5,000 to $50,000 range.
Eligibility Criteria
- Your organization must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization or have an equivalent fiscal sponsor.
- Preference will be given to organizations working in the seven-county metro Denver region.
- Projects must directly impact carbon emissions. Proposals focused on policy advocacy and/or organizing around climate change will not be considered.
