The Traverse Regional Community Foundation is currently accepting applications for the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (DEI) Fund to achieve inclusive, healthy, resilient, thriving communities, all people in the region must have equitable access to the resources they need to reach their full potential.
The DEI Fund believes diversity encompasses, but is not limited to, race, ethnicity, economic circumstances, zip code, age, health and ability status, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, resident or immigration status, national origin, veteran status, or religion.
The DEI Fund will be used to support diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts in the region including primarily providing support for BIPOC and LGBTQ+ led organizations. They will also consider DEI training and learning and other partners, programs, and opportunities promoting equity and inclusion.
Funding Information
- Grant requests for up to $2,500 will be considered.
The Foundation will Fund
- General operating support for organizations with leadership from BIPOC, LGBTQ+, immigrant, neurodiverse, and/or disability communities
- Events that increase awareness and provide education about BIPOC, LGBTQ+, immigrant, neurodiverse, and/or disability communities
- Support for efforts that increase the effectiveness, voice, and visibility of BIPOC, LGBTQ+, immigrant, neurodiverse, and/or disability communities
- Programs or projects that promote equity and inclusion
- DEI training or learning opportunities
Eligibility Criteria
- Nonprofit, governmental and Tribal entities across Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska and Leelanau Counties are eligible to apply by submitting an online application.
- Applicants are also welcome to submit a video instead of written responses.
