The Let Creativity Happen! (LCH) Grant by Houston Arts Alliance (HAA) is now open to individual artists, 501(c)3 organizations and fiscally sponsored projects. Funding for the grant opportunity is provided through the City of Houston.
The Let Creativity Happen! grant category provides funds for specific projects that amplify artistic creativity and vision taking place in the city of Houston.
Funding Information
- Up to $ 2,500 is available.
- Length of Grant: One year from award notification
Eligibility Criteria
- All applicants must provide official documentation demonstrating a physical address in the City of Houston limits which is verified by staff through the online Council Member verify mapping tool. PO Boxes are not accepted.
- Organizations or its fiscal sponsor must be tax-exempt under the Internal Revenue Code Section 501 (c) 3 with its fiscal year ending 2019 filed with the IRS (990 / 990N) verified by the IRS Tax Exemption Organization Search.
- An individual applicant must be at least 18 years old which will be verified by applicant submission of an official state-issued identification card, passport or other official document.
- Organizations must have a current SMU DataArts profile.
- Applicants’ scopes of work must have a clear public presentation component, verified by staff review of the application.
- Applicants may only submit one application per grant program, per deadline, per year.
Criteria

- All projects must use digital technology to engage audiences.
- The grant only funds expenditures incurred after the start of the grant term.
- Funds are provided from cash-in-hand funds, not projected income.
- Length of grant is one year from award notification.
- One submission is allowed per applicant.
