The Variety the Children’s Charity is seeking applications for its Variety ThriveKids Grant Program to provide practical equipment to help WA kids develop and thrive.
This includes items that promote behavioural regulation, physical development, independence, wellbeing, social inclusion and more.
Categories
- Sensory: $2,000
- Medical: $5,000
- Mobility: $5,000 to $10,000
Eligibility Criteria
- The child you are applying for must reside in WA
- The child you are applying for must be aged 0-17
- The child you are applying for must have a disability or sickness (long-term health condition)
- Family household income is below the guide
- The equipment you’re seeking funding for must not be available via government funding or alternative sources
Ineligible Requests
- Items where funding is available from the government or other grant funds
- Individuals 18 years of age and older
- Projects that require recurring funding
- Expenses considered to be part of an individual’s typical cost of living
- Travel expenses – including public transport and petrol
- Warranties, insurance, maintenance, service agreements, batteries,repairs
- Retrospective expenses
- Incomplete application forms
- Services or therapies
