Deadline: 18-Sep-22
The Cheshire Community Foundation is now inviting applications for its Improving Outcomes in Deprived Neighbourhoods Programmes to focus on projects delivered in the most deprived wards in Cheshire and Warrington, that reduce inequalities, help prevent poor health and improve opportunities for better lives.
Priorities
- To improve mental health and wellbeing
- To tackle poverty and disadvantage
- To develop education, skills and employment opportunities
- To build stronger communities across Cheshire and Warrington
Supports
-
The programme can support
- Projects which support solutions, to address issues that are most important to the community at a local level – which actively involve and include their local communities, to define the need and take social action for themselves.
- Local, sustainable community activities, tackling specific problems or issues, which help to build community resilience – and act as a catalyst to support the changes that local people aspire to – but need support to achieve.
- Projects which improve the quality of life in disadvantaged areas.
- Projects which address a more specific purpose (for example: helping to reduce poverty – or giving local children a better start in life – or improve mental health and wellbeing at a local level).
- Projects which help people overcome barriers to employment – or which raise aspirations to contribute towards helping families lift themselves out of poverty.
Funding Information
- Grants available are from £2,000 to £15,000.
- Grants up to £15,000 will be awarded for projects with the strongest fit to the programme outcomes.
