The State Government of Victoria is inviting applications for the Victoria Remembers Grant Program.
Funds are distributed by the Victorian Veterans Council and managed by the Office for Veterans.
Details
- Priority will be given to projects that honour, commemorate and/or educate about veterans service in impactful ways.
- Projects should be able to be completed within 12 months of the project approval date.
- You cannot apply for funding if your project has already commenced or will commence prior to the anticipated announcement date.
- Funding for this grant comes from the Community Support Fund, which means organisations that receive revenue from electronic gaming are not eligible to apply
- Receipt of previous funding is not indicative of future funding through this program
- Incomplete or incorrect applications may not be considered.
Funding Information
Grants of up to $30,000 (excluding GST) are available for projects honouring or commemorating veterans’ service or educating Victorians about veterans’ contributions. There are two funding rounds per year.
Eligibility Criteria
- Ex-service organisations
- Local government authorities
- Not-for-profit organisations
- Educational institutions.
- Please note: funding for this grant comes from the Community Support Fund, which means organisations that receive revenue from electronic gaming machines are not eligible to apply.

Applicants must also:
- Be an incorporated body – or you can arrange for an incorporated organisation to act as an auspice on your behalf.
- If you require an auspice, refer to the Auspice arrangements section
- Failure to be incorporated or provide details of an Auspice arrangement could result in your application being withdrawn.
- Have an Australian Business Number (ABN) or provide written advice from the Australian Taxation Office that no withholding tax is required from the grant payment
- Be financially solvent
- Be based in Australia provided the project is located in Victoria
- Have provided a final report or progress report for any project that has been previously funded through a Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH) Veterans Grant Program.
