The Research Triangle Institute (RTI) invites applications from qualified organizations to fund multiple awards through the USAID Mali Sènè Yiriwa project, the goal is to sustainably intensify the productivity of key value chains, leading to improved consumption of nutritious foods and the resilience of agricultural households.
This APS identifies potential applicants for grants that are intended to facilitate the growth of agricultural production through investments that improve the quality and quantity of production, increase value addition, sales in national markets and increase employment opportunities, especially for women and young people.
Objectives
- The approach sets three key objectives, with specific focus areas that will facilitate the emergence of inclusive agricultural extension services (EAS) and nutrition advisory services (NAS):
- Strengthen cooperatives to provide inclusive and diverse CAS and NAS;
- Engaging cooperatives to develop and self-manage extension teams;
- Increase and sustain adoption of farming technologies and practices Climate Smart (CSA) to help cooperatives develop context extension service packages on best practices for l’intensification durable,
- Improve farmer decision-making through digital solutions based in the field ; digital data collection and services; sharing and analysis of data and data-based support systems
Funding Information
- The financial range for the scholarships will be up to a maximum of USD 50,000 per scholarship.
Eligibility Criteria
- Interested and eligible applicants are invited to prepare submissions in response to this APS and participate in other activities. The minimum eligibility requirements for applicants are as follows:
- Legal status – applicants must be legally registered as an entity
- Applications that target agrosilvopastoral production. Put currently implementation of agricultural activities in one of these forms has. Increase agro-sylvo-pastoral production (Development of services (capacity building, adoption of new technology and data collection) data, equipment and infrastructure).
- Improve product quality – Development of services (strengthening of capacities, adoption of new technology and data collection), -Valorisation of agro-silvo-pastoral products vs. Promotion of rural entrepreneurship
