The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is seeking applications for a Cooperative Agreement from qualified entities to implement the SPOTLIGHT program.
- SPOTLIGHT is a 12 month social medicine, HIV Provider Stigma and Discrimination Prevention Project activity that will lead to the development of materials and approaches to be rolled out by the GOH HIV/AIDS National Program (PNLS) and implemented by health providers across the country.
Project Goal
- To improve the quality of HIV services delivered by HIV provider teams nationwide at fixed facilities through a patient-centered service delivery approach.
- The project purpose is to leverage and strengthen the HIV provider team’s capacity to attract and retain patients in care, improve and nurture patient/provider trust, and strengthen the quality and HIV competencies incorporated into the HIV health professional pre-service and improve in-service training curriculum through technical assistance.
Objectives
- Objective 1: Improve provider capacity to attract and retain patients in care and strengthen patient/provider trust;
- Objective 2: Technical Assistance provided to the MOH/PNLS, other MOH/directorates and PEPFAR implementing partners, professional organizations and associations.
Funding Information
- USAID intends to award one (1) Cooperative Agreement pursuant to this notice of funding opportunity. Subject to funding availability and at the discretion of the Agency, USAID intends to provide $900,000.00 in total USAID funding over one (1) year period.
Geographic Scope and Intended Beneficiaries
- SPOTLIGHT is designed to be a 12 month project that will mostly focus on high loss-to-follow-up (LTFU) PEPFAR sites (both USAID and CDC) located within five (5) geographic departments (Nord, Nord-Est, Ouest, Artibonite, Sud) of Haiti.
Eligible Applicants
- U.S. and non-US nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) may participate under this NOFO, including U.S. and international private voluntary organizations, local non-governmental organizations, universities, foundations, private sector entities, and non-profit and for-profit organizations. Organizations may submit applications individually or in partnership with other international or local organizations.
- USAID welcomes applications from organizations which have not previously received financial assistance from USAID.
