USAID Request for Applications: Inviting Organizations for “Feed the Future Senegal Cultivating Nutrition”

Deadline: 24 July 2017

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is seeking applications from qualified organizations to fund a program entitled “Feed the Future Senegal Cultivating Nutrition”.

The purpose of the five-year Feed the Future Senegal Cultivating Nutrition activity (“Cultivating Nutrition”) is to improve diets among the Senegalese population, particularly young children and women of reproductive age, in the Feed the Future Zone of Influence (ZOI). Increased access to diverse, nutritious, and safe foods along with increased adoption of nutrition and care practices will lead to increased consumption of a healthy diet. Ultimately, improved diets will reduce risks of undernutrition and overnutrition, both of which hamper human health, productivity, and economic growth

Funding Information

USAID intends to provide $40 million in total USAID funding over a 5 year period.

Eligibility Criteria

  • All qualified U.S. and non-U.S. organizations (other than those from foreign policy restricted countries) are eligible to apply.
  • USAID welcomes applications from organizations which have not previously received financial assistance from USAID.
  • Applicants must have established financial management, monitoring and evaluation processes, internal control systems, and policies and procedures that comply with established U.S. Government standards, laws, and regulations.
