The Inclusion and Participation Division of the ACT Community Services Directorate (CSD) is pleased to announce the availability of the 2022-23 Veterans Grant Program.
Aim and Purpose
- The primary aim of the Program is to support veterans and their families’ wellbeing and social inclusion. To best meet the needs of the veteran community, a focus on older veterans, contemporary veterans and veterans’ families might be considered collectively or separately as the focus of the grant application.
- Applications are sought for innovative projects that promote veterans as valued members of the ACT community, promote active and healthy living and enable them to participate in community activities.
- Additionally, the Program will provide funding for projects that take into account the evolving COVID-19 environment, including projects that both respond to issues veterans are experiencing as a result of the pandemic and projects that have capacity to adapt to ACT Public Health Directions

Funding Information
- The total funding available under this Program is $80,000.00 (GST exclusive).
- The maximum non-recurrent total grant that can be applied for is $10,000.00 (GST exclusive)
- A community in-kind or financial contribution of minimum 15% is required for projects and programs with a total value of more than $4,000.00. Please show the contribution in the budget section of the application.
- Successful Recipients will have 12 months to expend the funding from the time of accepting the grant.
Eligibility Criteria

Only organisations which meet the following organisational eligibility requirements may apply:
- be a legally incorporated entity or supported by an incorporated auspicing organisation
- be a registered not-for-profit or a charitable organisation; or
- tertiary and higher education institutions, delivering programs for the target communities in line with the funding priorities.
- have no overdue acquittal or reporting obligations for any previous Community Services Directorate grant, including evaluations, acquittal reports and audited financial statements. All outstanding acquittals must be submitted and have been accepted prior to submitting an application.
- Unincorporated Community groups may be eligible to apply through an auspicing entity
Note: Individuals, profit making groups, government entities and registered political parties are not eligible to apply.
