Deadline: 05-Jul-21
The Red Olive Creative Consulting is currently accepting applications for the VI cycle of the Black Art Futures Fund to provide general operating support for U.S. small and community-based Black-led and Black-benefitting arts and culture organizations.
For Cycle VI, only small Black arts not-for-profit organizations (organizations founded by, led by, and primarily serving Black communities) or fiscally-sponsored entities (operating for more than 1 year with this relationship) founded on or before 2011, with annual budgets below $500,000 and operating in the United States, are eligible to receive funding.
Beyond this core eligibility, the Cycle VI Shay Wafer Legacy Awards recognize Black arts organizations that have been in operation for more than ten years.
They want to celebrate these groups, who have survived and thrived despite a disinvested and underfunded field, while honoring the contributions of Shay Wafer—a mentor for a generation of Black cultural workers and who models a generous definition of cultural caretaking.
