Vinnova is looking for projects with ideas on how the Internet of Things (IoT) can be used in the public sector to achieve a higher quality of life for people in Sweden.
IoT Sweden is part of Vinnova, the Swedish Energy Agency and Forma ‘s joint investment in strategic innovation programs. The purpose of the investment in strategic innovation programs is to create conditions for international competitiveness and sustainable solutions to global societal challenges.
Goals
In its program plan, IoT Sweden has prioritized five of the global goals:
- Objective 3: Good health and well-being.
- Objective 5: Gender equality.
- Objective 9: Sustainable industry, innovation and infrastructure.
- Objective 10: Reducing inequality.
- Objective 11: Sustainable cities and communities.
Thematic Areas
The IoT solutions will be applied in one of the three thematic areas of need:
- Equal health
- Safe public environments
- Faster climate change
What can you apply for?
Adaptation and large-scale testing of IoT solutions in realistic environments. Further development of IoT solutions before implementation. Implementation of IoT data-driven approaches. Evaluation of implementation and / or follow-up research.
Funding Information
- Up to SEK 5,000,000, but not more than 50% of the project´s total budget.
- Preliminary total budget for the call Implementation project is SEK 15,000,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- Municipalities and regions in collaboration with at least one company or one research and innovation actor.
- The call is aimed at Swedish municipalities and regions (needs owners) who want to take a bigger step and further develop and / or implement innovative IoT solutions that create benefits and value in the public sector.
