The South Yorkshire Violence Reduction Unit (VRU) has announced the Violence Against Women and Girls Reduction Fund.
Priorities
Applications are sought from those whose work on tackling Violence Against Women and Girls supports the VRU’s sixteen priorities, including:
- promote gender equality to reduce and prevent violence against women and girls
- work to change the cultural and social attitudes which contribute to violence
- reduce violence through victim identification, care and support programmes
- tackle domestic abuse and work to ensure that survivors can access the support they need
Funding Information
Organisations are able to secure up to £20,000 from the Fund, which can be used for existing or new projects. Core costs, staff costs and activity costs can be funded.
What can you apply for?
Activity or projects that are working on tackling Violence Against Women and Girls in South Yorkshire. They can be existing or new projects. Core costs and staff costs are allowed, as well as activity costs.
Eligibility Criteria
- The Violence Against Women and Girls Reduction Fund is open to community groups, social enterprises and non-profit organisations working in South Yorkshire who are working on tackling Violence Against Women and Girls.
- Any community group, school or third sector organisation that is based in South Yorkshire. You need to be constituted and have a bank account in your name with more than one signatory. Charities, social enterprises, and not for profit companies are also welcome to apply.
