Applications are now open for the Visa She’s Next Grant Program for Canadian Entrepreneurs to support small businesses, women entrepreneurs in Canada.
Visa is back with more funding opportunities for women-owned businesses in Canada, in partnership with IFundWomen.
Funding Information
- Through this program, ten (10) qualified women entrepreneurs each will be selected to receive a $10,000 CAD grant, plus a one-year IFundWomen Annual Coaching Membership to support the growth of their small business.
- A one-year IFundWomen Annual Coaching Membership, as outlined on the Contest Site, valued at $1,500 USD
Eligibility Criteria
The Contest is open to any natural person of any gender who is a resident of Canada and meets all of the following eligibility requirements:
- The entrant is a legal resident of Canada;
- The entrant is at least the age of majority of their province or territory of residence at the time of entry, except employees (and those with whom such employees are domiciled) of Visa (“Supporter”) or IFundWomen (“Sponsor”), its affiliated companies or agents, advertising and promotion agencies, and the Contest judges;
- The entrant must own and operate their business in Canada
- The entrant’s business must have been operating for 2+ years
- The entrant must have a business that has a product or service in market and is generating revenue
- The entrant’s business must be growing year over year
- The entrant’s business must offer a consumer product or service (B2C)
- The entrant must have a compelling digital presence and supporting media
Judging Criteria
- Judging Period – The Recipients will be determined within a period following the application window.
- Judges – Eligible Entries will be evaluated by The Administrator and Supporter
- Judging Method and Criteria – The judges will make their decision based on the following criteria:
- Compelling Story of Entrepreneurship (20 points)
- Strength of business metrics (20 points)
- Compelling digital presence (20 points)
- Compelling Problem Business Is Solving (20 points)
- Quality of Written Materials and/or Visual Media (20 points)
