Women’s Fund announces 2021 Project Grant Cycle (United States)

The Women’s Fund for the Fox Valley Region, Inc. is accepting preliminary applications for 2021 Project Grant cycle.

In 1994, a group of committed individuals came together and established a permanent endowment to focus solely on improving the lives of women and girls in the Fox Valley region. Their dream is now the heart of the Women’s Fund’s mission to promote the advancement of women and girls in our community.

Funding Focus Areas

All project & program grants for the 2020 – 2021 grant cycles must address one of the following funding focus areas:

Women and girls live in safety.
Women and girls meet their basic needs, including food, shelter, and access to health care.
Women and girls have the education, opportunity, and self-determination to be economically secure.
Women and girls are empowered to develop and apply their leadership skills personally and professionally.

Funding Information

Grant requests between $2,500 and $10,000 will be considered.
A maximum of $50,000 will be awarded for all project grants.
The Women’s Fund reserves the right to award different amounts of support (more or less than requested).

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for any grant from the Women’s Fund:

Your project must be consistent with the Women’s Fund mission and funding focus areas.
Your project must benefit women and girls in Calumet, Outagamie, Shawano, Waupaca, or Northern Winnebago Counties.
Your organization must be a tax-exempt, not-for-profit organization under the Internal Revenue Code, section 501(c)(3). However, agencies or informal groups without 501(c)(3) status may use another tax-exempt, not for profit agency as your fiscal agent.

Application Process

Nonprofit organizations can apply for a Women’s Fund Project Grant via the online Grants Portal. To access the portal, organizations will be required to register. Approval may take a day or two so please plan accordingly. As a supporting organization of the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region, the Women’s Fund grants portal is shared with the Community Foundation. If you have previously applied for grant funding through the Community Foundation, you will use the same username and password to access the portal and Women’s Fund grant applications.

To Register/Login:

From the Women’s Fund website, click on Grants Portal.
If you have previously registered, select login. If this is your first time using the portal, select Register.
Complete the requested profile account information for the organization you are representing.
Select Grant Applicant and search for Women’s Fund for the Fox Valley Region, Inc.
Complete the remaining information for your organization and click Register.
You will be notified within 1-3 days when you have been approved to access the portal.
