The Community Foundation of North Central West Virginia is seeking applications for its Women’s Giving Circle of North Central West Virginia Grants.
The Women’s Giving Circle, a fund of Your Community Foundation for North Central West Virginia, welcomes grant applications from nonprofit organizations in Harrison, Taylor, Marion, Preston and Monongalia Counties in West Virginia that are addressing one or more of the following needs of women in their community:
- Increasing life skills of women and girls through education, economic empowerment, physical and mental health, and strategies for prevention of violence and crime
- Encouraging the healthy development of girls
- Promoting gender equity in their community
Funding Information
- Maximum request amount: $3,000.
Eligibility Criteria
The following attachments must accompany the application:
- Annual organization operating budget, showing income and expenses
- List of officers, board members and their titles, contact information
- Copy of IRS 501 (c)(3) tax-exempt designation letter (not applicable for Government Agencies and Public Schools)
- Annual financial report – audit preferred
- A board resolution approving the application, signed by the organization’s president or secretary.
- Must serve one or more of these counties in North Central WV: Monongalia, Marion, Harrison, Preston and Taylor.
