The Waterloo Region Community Foundation is now inviting applications for the Woolwich Community Fund to focus on enhancing the quality of life for children and youth who reside in Woolwich.
The Woolwich Community Fund was established to meet a wide range of changing needs that exist across Woolwich Township now, and in perpetuity.
Children and youth are the leaders and decision makers of tomorrow. It is essential that communities provide opportunities for children and youth to thrive and grow into their full potential through programs that strengthen their sense of identity, belonging and belief in the future.
Funding Information
- Approximately $20,000 will be distributed through the fund in 2023.
- The maximum grant amount request per application is $5,000
What do they Fund?
- Initiatives that focus on children and youth, including those in the areas of:
- Community development
- Culture
- Education
- Environment
- Health
- Literacy
- Recreation
- Social services
- Expenses can be for:
- Capital expenditures
- Programs or projects
- Seed money for new initiatives
What they do not Fund?
- Project or programs that do not impact children and youth
- Operating expenses
Eligibility Criteria
- The types of organizations that can apply for funding include:
- Registered charitable organizations
- Qualified donees recognized by Canada Revenue Agency (CRA)
- Not-for-Profit organizations through a partnership with a fiscal partner.
Evaluation
- If you receive funding through The Woolwich Community Fund
- They are interested in hearing your stories about how the grant was used and/or seeing videos/pictures of the grant in action. WRCF may also approach your organization to request stories of impact.
