The Arts Tasmania is accepting applications for Youth Arts Organisations Program to support activities that actively engage young people (aged 0 to 25 years) to develop their creative skills and enhance their social health and wellbeing.
Funding Information
- Organizations can apply for funds of up to $80,000.
What can I apply for?
- Funding is available for artist-led activities, projects or programs that start after the program notification date. Activities funded may include professional development, mentorships, and national and international collaborations.
- Costs associated with administering or participating in prizes, awards and competitions are not eligible for funding.
Eligibility Criteria

Individuals and groups
- If you are applying as an individual, you must be a practicing artist or arts worker who has been resident in Tasmania for six of the past twelve months.
- Groups must have at least one Tasmanian member.
- Students are eligible to apply for grants. However, any activity that is part of a course or contributes to course assessment is not eligible for funding.
- If you have received a grant from Arts Tasmania in the past and that grant has not been acquitted, you will not be eligible to apply to Arts Tasmania until your acquittal is accepted.

Organizations
- Organizations must be registered under law (an incorporated association, or a company limited by guarantee) or created by law (a government statutory authority).
- Organizations that are not based in Tasmania may apply to certain programs for activities that benefit Tasmanian artists or audiences.
- Organizations in receipt of multi-year operational support from Arts Tasmania are not eligible to apply to other Arts Tasmania programs for the term of the agreement.
- Tasmanian or Federal Government departments and government business enterprises are not eligible to apply to Arts Tasmania.

The following organizations are in receipt of administered funding from the Tasmanian Government and are not eligible to apply to Arts Tasmania's programs:
- The Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery
- The Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra
- Ten Days on the Island
- The Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery
- The Theater Royal Management Board may apply to Arts Tasmania's programs for support towards its artistic program.
- If you or your organization has received a grant from Arts Tasmania in the past and that grant has not been acquitted, you will not be eligible to apply to Arts Tasmania until your acquittal is accepted .
