The joint UN “Youth 4 Inclusion, Equality & Trust” Project is a regional initiative aiming to empower young people to drive positive change and foster social cohesion in the region.
The initiative is supported by the United Nations Peacebuilding Fund (PBF) and is implemented across the region including in Kosovo.
Objective
- The overall objective of the project is to empower young people from the region to engage in constructive narratives, strengthen intercultural dialogue, inclusion, gender equality and creation of mutual understanding and trust in the Western Balkans.

Scope of Work and Specific Objectives
- The implementing partner will cooperate with UNDP to implement cultural activities involving arts, youth activism, cultural events and exchanges with the purpose of promoting positive narratives and peacebuilding among diverse communities. As such, the activity will provide opportunities for young artists to exchange, collaborate, create, and share cultural content, as the most valued and impactful peace and trust building activities from a youth perspective. As such, the focus will be on equipping young activists with the skills to effectively use art and culture as a tool for advocacy and social change, and help the youth grow as community leaders.
- The activity will focus on equipping young activists and artists with the skills to effectively use art as a tool for advocacy and social change. It will include interactive cultural events/workshops, creative expression, and strategic activism, along with mentorship sessions featuring cultural leaders. Topics will be formulated in line with UNDP project objectives and directed towards promotion of inter-group dialogue emphasizing the diversity, gender equality, and social cohesion.
- The initiative will create a vibrant platform where arts and culture meet activism, aiming to inspire positive narratives and foster collaboration in Kosovo and across the region. Participants in the activities will share their expertise, offering practical insights into how creative mediums can amplify activist efforts and shape positive narratives at both local and regional levels.
Funding Information
- Proposals amounts should not exceed EUR 18,000.
Duration
- Expected duration of contract: The expected duration of the contract is nine months (15 July 2025 – 15 April 2026).
Expected Deliverables/Outputs
- Deliverable 1: Design and implement cultural events
- At least three (3) interactive cultural events and/or youth exchanges organized, involving young artists and activists from diverse communities. These events will promote inter-ethnic dialogue, creative collaboration, and advocacy through art and culture, resulting in increased mutual understanding among participants.
- Deliverable 2: Development and Presentation of Youth-Led Artistic Content
- A minimum of six (6) original youth-led artistic pieces or cultural outputs created during workshops or events. These products will address themes such as social cohesion, diversity, and gender equality, and will be showcased through digital and physical platforms.
- Deliverable 3: Capacity Development and Mentorship Programme
- A structured capacity development programme delivered through at least two (2) workshops or mentorship sessions with cultural leaders, artists, media professionals, and activists. These sessions will equip young participants with practical skills in art-based advocacy, storytelling, and strategic communication, including post-event media coverage and visibility support.
Proposed Methodology
- The service provider will be responsible for developing and propose its own methodology to carry out the tasks described above by, including, but not limited to:
- Adapting the structure, content and objectives of the inter-community exchanges and trust-building through cultural activities.
- Designing the methodology for the deliverables above and how they can be achieved.
- Networking and collaborating with relevant stakeholders (e.g., artistic organizations and institutions, local CSOs/NGOs, social media experts/influencers, young artists and organizations).
- Ensuring quality of delivery and proposing a clear timetable.
- Identifying suitable locations for all activities.
- Planning, in cooperation with UNDP, how to design and implement the activities
- Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the actions in achieving their objectives.
- Documenting the activities, outputs, and outcomes of the intervention.
- In cooperation with the project, verify indicator achievements and targets through pre and post training surveys, and follow-up surveys.
- Participants: Youth 18-30 years old from across Kosovo (50% women, 30% non-majority) including also young people from rural areas.
