Te Whatu Ora’s Health Promotion Unit (HPA) is now offering one-off grants of $5,000-$30,000.
Grants will be awarded to projects that support youth wellbeing priorities including mental health awareness, addressing wellness through development of identity (social/cultural), and strengthening connection. HPA wants to support you in the work you’re doing for your community.
What they are looking to fund
HPA is looking for projects that address positive health outcomes for young people. HPA is particularly interested in projects that are:
- Strengths based.
- Co-designed with young people.
- Focused on wellbeing.
- Lead from Te Ao Māori or Pasifika world views.
- Focused on lifting young people’s levels of belonging, connectedness and sense of identity.
Eligibility Criteria
- Your application is related to youth wellbeing.
- Your organisation is not a local council, a commercial organisation or an education setting (for example, a school). Commercial organisations are usually companies that generally try and make a profit.
- Your application is not for retrospective funding for a project that has been completed.
- Individual/informal entities will not be funded.
- Your organisation does not have any links to companies associated with the tobacco or alcohol industries, or food industries/products not aligned with the Ministry of Health Eating and Activity Guidelines.
