Deadline: 03-Dec-2025
The Yale Jackson School of Global Affairs is currently accepting applications for its World Fellows Program.
The program focuses on individuals who have demonstrated an established record of extraordinary achievement and integrity, along with a strong commitment to building a good society and making a positive impact at the local, national, or international level.
It seeks candidates who show promise for a future career marked by leadership and notable global influence, possess the capacity for critical, creative, entrepreneurial, and strategic thinking and are likely to both benefit from and contribute to the program’s global perspective at Yale.
Applicants must also demonstrate a dedication to fully engaging in the program’s rigorous activities, maintaining full-time residence at Yale for its entire duration and actively participating in mentoring students and speaking engagements on campus.
Selected Fellows receive a comprehensive compensation package that includes a taxable stipend to cover living expenses in New Haven, a furnished one- or two-bedroom apartment, medical insurance, and round-trip travel from their home country.
The fellowship seeks applicants between five and twenty-five years into their professional careers who have already demonstrated significant accomplishments at regional, national, or international levels. While the average age of a World Fellow is 39, there is no age limit for application.
Applicants must be citizens of countries other than the United States. Although dual citizens with the U.S. are eligible, preference is given to those whose professional focus lies outside the United States.
Fluency in English is mandatory, as it is essential for successful participation in the program. Selected Fellows must remain in residence at Yale University in New Haven for the entirety of the program, which runs from mid-August through mid-December.
The application process is fully online, with no fees or associated costs. Applicants are required to submit a résumé or curriculum vitae (up to three pages), a personal statement (up to 600 words), and three letters of recommendation.
A brief video statement is also required. Applicants can access detailed instructions after creating an account on the program’s application portal and may work on their applications until submission. The deadline for submitting applications is December 3, 2025, at 1:00 PM EST.
