Deadline: 01 December 2025
The Core Group has launched its Small Grants to improve sexual, reproductive, maternal, newborn, child, and adolescents health.
The program is designed to strengthen the capacity of local organizations led by women, youth, and people with disabilities, enabling them to develop and implement innovative community-based solutions to health challenges. By combining financial support with technical and organizational capacity-building, the initiative aims to create long-term impact and sustainability within Malawi’s health sector.
The grant application process will take place in two key stages. The first step requires applicants to submit a Concept Note that outlines the main barrier in SRMNCAH being addressed, along with the objectives, methodology, geographic focus, time frame of up to 18 months, implementation arrangements, and monitoring and evaluation plans. Successful Concept Notes will proceed to the second stage, where CORE Group will collaborate with selected NGOs and CSOs to develop a detailed project proposal and budget.
Two grant categories are available, tailored to the experience level of the applying organizations. Grants of up to $200,000 will be offered to organizations that have been operating for five years or more, while grants of up to $90,000 will be available for organizations with one to five years of experience. All projects must be implemented within an 18-month period.
Eligible applicants must be local NGOs or CSOs registered in Malawi, with current official documentation. They must also demonstrate leadership by women, youth, or people with disabilities, and have a presence in the proposed geographic implementation area. This program represents a significant opportunity for grassroots organizations to enhance their impact, strengthen their capacity, and contribute to advancing equitable and inclusive health outcomes across Malawi.
