Deadline: 08-Sep-2025
The Prism Foundation has opened its 2025 grant applications, offering a meaningful opportunity for grassroots projects and local nonprofits that positively serve Asian and Pacific Islander LGBTQIA+ communities.
Those seeking core funding can apply for grants ranging from $1,000 to $5,000, with the option of a two-year award that can total up to $10,000, supporting deeper and more sustained initiatives.
This funding supports a rich spectrum of creative and community-driven efforts. Whether it’s organizing local events, producing films, conducting cultural surveys, or developing training tools, the Foundation has a history of supporting projects that amplify diverse gender identities, ethnicities, and indigenous voices through art, storytelling, and community engagement.
To be eligible, applicants must hold tax-exempt 501(c)(3) status or be sponsored by an organization that does. Even those who have previously applied or received a grant are invited to reapply in this cycle, bringing new ideas or momentum to their work.
Interested organizations can apply by completing an online application form and submitting a detailed budget. Applications are accepted through Google Forms and must use a Google-associated email.
Grant recipients will be officially announced and celebrated at the Foundation’s Community Connections event in the San Francisco Bay Area. Selected organizations are asked to share a short video testimonial to highlight their project and its impact.
This opening is more than just financial support—it’s an invitation to under-resourced yet powerful voices to strengthen their work in creating inclusive, expressive, and resilient communities. Whether rooted in art, activism, or collective well-being, the Prism Foundation grants offer a path toward visibility, celebration, and sustained community building.
