The UNTFHS will focus the 2022 Call for Proposals on programmes to extend awareness of the human security approach and its usage at all levels. For these programmes, the total contribution from the UNTFHS should not exceed US$300,000 for a period of 12-18 months.

Call for Proposals: Indigenous People’s Assistance Facility

Priority will be given to proposals with a strong social inclusion focus on gender mainstreaming and women’s empowerment and proposals submitted by indigenous peoples’ organizations that have indigenous women and youth in their decision-making bodies. Organizations whose structures include indigenous people with disabilities will be given special consideration.

Adaptation Fund Climate Innovation Accelerator

The primary objective of the AFCIA administrated by UNEP-CTCN is to support developing countries to test, evaluate, roll out and scale up innovative adaptation practices, products and technologies. Based on technical assistance services, 25 micro-grants projects will be implemented for 5 years to enhance climate resilience and adapt to climate change in the countries. Moreover, the AFCIA will facilitate knowledge sharing and the exchange of best practices, strengthening opportunities of South-South and triangular cooperation on innovation in adaptation among the countries.

UNESCO: Patrimonito Storyboard Competition 2022 for Young People

This competition aims to provide young people with an opportunity to use their creative and problem-solving skills to raise awareness about World Heritage sites. The World Heritage Education Programme is welcoming secondary school pupils and youth to create storyboards on the theme of Climate Change and World Heritage. The best submission will be selected by an independent jury and professionally produced into animated films for global distribution to schools and at World Heritage education events.
