Deadline: 31-Aug-2025
The World Food Programme (WFP) is now accepting applications for its Resilience Program in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. This partnership opportunity is aimed at supporting resilient food systems in both refugee and host communities within the region.
The program focuses on restoring natural resources and promoting climate-resilient local food production. It also aims to strengthen food value chains by linking production to consumption, while enhancing government systems and policy environments that support long-term food security.
The initiative covers several sectors, including camp coordination and management, food security, and livelihoods. In food security, it emphasizes agricultural inputs, cash assistance, and market or vulnerability analysis. In livelihoods, it supports cash and voucher programs, smallholder market development, and efforts to boost self-reliance.
The geographic focus is on Bangladesh, particularly the Chittagong region, including Cox’s Bazar. Planned activities include community-based natural resource management, green skills training in camps, youth engagement, livelihood programs to enhance food and nutrition on Bhasan Char, capacity building for smallholder farmers, and climate risk insurance initiatives in local communities.
Eligible applicants must be legally registered as a non-governmental, non-profit, and non-political organization in Bangladesh. They should have relevant experience in resilience programming, a history of operating in the target areas, and the financial and operational capacity to meet WFP’s programmatic and financial reporting requirements.
