The Bhutan Trust Fund for Environmental Conservation (BTF) is inviting proposals for its FY 2025–2026 Large Grant Funding Window to support impactful environmental conservation initiatives in Bhutan.
Biodiversity Conservation – Protecting and preserving Bhutan’s rich variety of plant and animal life.
Human-Wildlife Coexistence – Supporting strategies that enable communities and wildlife to live in harmony.
Climate Change Action – Initiatives for climate change mitigation and adaptation to safeguard ecosystems and livelihoods.
Managing Development Impacts – Addressing and reducing the environmental harm caused by development activities.
BTFEC aims to promote environmental stewardship and sustainable natural resource management through funding innovative and impactful projects. These projects should contribute to Bhutan’s national goals for environmental protection while supporting community well-being.
Applicants are expected to design initiatives that directly address one or more of the thematic areas and demonstrate measurable outcomes. The projects should also align with Bhutan’s national policies and strategic priorities.
Funding is available for organizations that can deliver results through sound planning, effective partnerships, and sustainable approaches. Proposals should include clear objectives, implementation strategies, monitoring plans, and anticipated impacts.
