The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is currently in the process of recruiting an agency for designing and implementing training programmes for the community cadre and SHG women for livelihood promotion. A minimum of 20 livelihoods sectors will be covered in the livelihood trainings, these sector and trades would be finalised on the basis of government consultations.
Indicative list of Livelihood Trainings
- Dairy
- Agriculture
- Traditional Crops/Pulses
- Vegetable farming
- Goatery
- Spices cultivation
- Handicrafts
- Tailoring
- Carry/jute bag production
- Papad/ Pickle and food processing
- Basic IT skills and use of smart phones
Deliverables
- The Service Provider will undertake consultations with government for necessary inputs in designing the training programme
- Coordinate with district and block USRLM staff for understanding training needs and specific gaps/challenges for designing training programme
- Development of requisite tools for undertaking the trainings – Informative brochures, posters,etc
- Provide Training of Trainers (ToTs) for a minimum of 1500 community cadre under USRLM though video conferencing. The community cadre will also be imparted IT skill for future access to on-line trainings and use of e-learning platforms
- Training of a minimum of 5000 SHG women on livelihood activities at cluster/GP level on livelihood activities through face to face workshops or training programmes
- Use innovative tools for each activity facilitating deeper understanding on key areas for each livelihood activity.
- The trainers have to travel to the field level to impart trainings to the SHG women at the cluster/GP level.
- Design and undertake post-training assessment for all the training programmes to ensure training objectives and course correction.
- Development and submission of training Report after the completion of the training.
- Sector specific fact sheet and policy brief, detailed power point presentation and a print ready assignment report
Eligibility Criteria
- A registered legal entity with Overall 7 years of experience in Capacity building for livelihood promotion for social sector programmes.
- Proven experience working with community institution on livelihoods and in low-income/hilly states.
- Prior experience of working with Government/International Organisations/NGOs
- Prior experience of working in Uttarakhand would be preferable.
- Undertaken at least 3 similar projects in past 3 years.
