The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is kindly request to submit your proposal for “Livelihood promotion through Landscape Conservation in Bhairabkunda under Udalguri district, Assam”.
In this context, UNDP is seeking to engage an expert agency to – roll out capacity building and resilience program to improve the awareness about COVID in the community, support livelihood of the migrant work force, create awareness on environmental conservation and facilitate social protection for targeted households in the periphery areas of the aforementioned ecosystems.
The objective of the proposed assignment would be:
- Regeneration and restoration of approximately 500 hectares of depleted and barren land in the foothill areas of Bhairabkunda.
- Provisioning better facilities and services to promote responsible eco-tourism.
- Promotion of ecological conservation through support to livelihood of the community residing in 6 villages in the periphery of the natural and manmade ecosystems
It is expected that the Service Provider would work towards achieving the following key outputs:
- Improved awareness and capacities of the community to undertake adequate conservation measures in the natural / man-made ecosystems through establishing better facilities and services.
- Increase in income through the input supports in few selected livelihood options of the community residing in the periphery of the natural ecosystems.
Eligibility Criteria
- At least 3 years of experience in working in conservation of natural resources and promotion of tourism / eco-tourism in North East India.
- At least 5 years of experience of facilitating capacity building programs in farm and non-farm sector and livelihood restoration.
Notes:
- If bidders do not meet any of the above listed criteria, their proposals will not be considered for further evaluation.
- Bidders meeting above listed criteria are required to submit evidences (details / documents) in support – otherwise proposal may be disqualified.
