Do you have an ambition to explore new formats and platforms and enhance your multimedia storytelling skills? Apply for the content production support and mentoring programme!
The overall goal of the content production support programme is to facilitate the production of high-quality, trustworthy, and diverse content for the EU Eastern Partnership on the topics that remain underreported at the time of war in Ukraine but are related to its impact and are of crucial importance to society. The project is supported by the European Union.
Objectives
The objectives of the Program:
- To support independent media outlets, journalists and production teams through provision of content production support.
- To support capacity building of the media outlets through multimedia storytelling seminars and mentoring.
- To contribute to the provision of high-quality public interest content to societies in the EU Eastern Partnership across a variety of platforms.
Benefits
- Listed applicants may apply for a content production support of up to €5000.
Eligibility Criteria
- EU4IM works only with independent media. The media must meet the following essential criterion:
- Non-interference into editorial process by the proprietor(s) or their political or business allies.
- Eligible beneficiaries are:
- All legally registered news organisations registered catering for audiences in 6 beneficiary countries
- Journalist non-profit organisations;
- Independent content production companies;
- Journalists/content production teams acting on behalf of any of the above.
- Eligible beneficiaries must:
- Have been in operation for no less than 6 (six) months prior to the submission of the proposal;
- Produce content on more than one platform (social media are considered one such platform);
- Have a Code of Ethics/editorial guidelines/membership in journalist organisations with a joint Code of Ethics or a track record of upholding journalism standards or participating in related initiatives;
- Not allow duplication with other EU-funded projects.
Ineligible
- The following media are ineligible for content production support:
- International broadcasters;
- Public international organisations;
- Organisations that are bankrupt, in liquidation, or have been convicted for fraud or corruption; if awarded, organisations may be required to submit supporting documents and/or a Declaration of honour.
- Requests for assistance with obvious fraudulent or trolling intent.
- All final decisions on eligibility will be determined by the EU4 Independent Media Key Expert team.
