Deadline: 14 December 2018
Applicants are invited to apply for 2019 European Press Prize with an aim to be the brand for quality journalism in Europe.
The key missions are aligning journalists and creating a community that recognises and strives for quality – one that helps each other fight foes too big for one person or organisation, as well as playing a defining role in emphasising the vital importance of fine reporting, shrewd analysis and outspoken comment.
Each award is for 10,000 euros, to be spent wherever possible on a personal project that may, in turn, enrich the practice of journalism. The judges are also empowered to award a special prize for particular excellence. The nominated works will be published on the website of the European Press Prize.
