Deadline: 02-Feb-2026
The Chamber of Commerce of Umbria has announced the 16th edition of the International Journalism Award “Tell me about Umbria – Stories on Umbria”.
The competition is reserved to those articles dealing with the region’s artistic-cultural-environmental points of excellence and the high quality economic-productive system, bringing the national and international focus on Umbria and its territory and contributing to valorizing the best of Umbrian business production.
Participation in the competition is free of charge and implies full acceptance of its regulations. The award is divided into four main categories—Tourism, Environment and Culture; Umbria del Gusto; Video (large productions); and Video (independent productions)—each designed to recognize works that best capture Umbria’s identity, heritage, and innovation.
A special “Schools of Journalism Award” is also established, dedicated to video reports by students of Italian Journalism Schools recognized by the National Council of the Order of Journalists. Additionally, the Jury Prize may be conferred on one particularly deserving candidate among the four main categories.
Each of the four main categories carries a prize of €2,500, while the Schools of Journalism Award offers €1,000. The Committee of experts, appointed by the Chamber of Commerce of Umbria, will evaluate the submissions based on originality of themes, breadth of information, and the ability to connect territory and business, particularly highlighting the best of Umbrian production.
The winners will be honored in a prize-giving ceremony held in Perugia in April 2026, during the XXI edition of the International Journalism Festival. Any uncollected prizes will remain with the Chamber of Commerce of Umbria, which also reserves the right to modify the terms and conditions if necessary.
Participants may submit photo-journalistic articles or audio-visual reports, individually or as part of a team, with each author allowed a maximum of two entries. Eligible works must have been published or aired between 1st January 2025 and 1st February 2026.
Submissions must be made online by 2nd February 2026, accompanied by a copy of the article or video, an ID, and a short biography or curriculum vitae.
