The Internews’ Earth Journalism Network (EJN) is inviting journalists from Madhya Pradesh, India, to join a media workshop on air pollution in Indore.
The three-day workshop will help journalists secure deep insights about the science of air pollution, its sources, its health impacts and key solutions to combat it.
EJN will facilitate interactions with subject specialists and importantly, communities that face real-life challenges from air pollution. The workshop will be held in Indore, Madhya Pradesh from May 9-11, 2022.
Details
- EJN will bear the costs of travel, accommodation and meals for outstation participants; participants from Indore will be provided meals and reimbursed for local travel expenses.
- Applications are open to journalists from print, online, radio and television outlets.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must commit to attend all days of the workshop.
- Have experience reporting on scientific and/or environmental topics.
- Understand and be able to communicate in English (workshop sessions will be in English and Hindi).
- Permit republication of any stories produced for their home media outlets as a result of participating in the workshop on the EJN website.
- They especially encourage women and early-career journalists to apply.
