Applications are open for Pavel Sheremet Prize (hereinafter referred to as the Competition). The journalist competition for the Pavel Sheremet Prize aims to support talented young journalists.
Objectives
- Support for talented youth;
- Attracting the attention of the general public to events in Belarus;
- Assistance in the formation of a new generation of Belarusian journalists;
- Support of civil society in Belarus.
Nomination Categories
The winner of the competition in each category receives a cash prize in accordance with the approved conditions:
- For his contribution to the development of Belarusian journalism – 75,000;
- Journalist of the Year of Belarus – 70,000;
- Blogger of the Year – 70,000;
- The best Belarusian telegram channel – 50,000;
- Best video about events in Belarus – 50,000;
- Best analytical material – 50,000;
- Best Investigative Journalism – 50,000;
- Best Publicistic Work – 50,000;
- Best Photo Work – 50,000;
- Best TV channel covering events in Belarus – Diploma;
- Book of the Year – Diploma;
- Best Russian journalist covering events in Belarus – Diploma.
Eligibility Criteria
Participants of the Competition:
- Citizens of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation, regardless of their place of residence, between the ages of 18 and 45, who published an analytical article, reportage, video film about events in Belarus and Russian-Belarusian relations in print and (or) electronic, are allowed to participate in the Competition.
- Legal entities covering events in the Republic of Belarus and Russian-Belarusian relations can also participate in the competition.
Order of Conduct
- Nominations: You can apply until February 28, 2021.
- Selection: At the final meeting, the members of the Jury will determine the winners in each category.
- Rewarding: The date and location of the awards ceremony will be announced later.
