The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy in collaboration with MyGov invites entries for the Reel Making Contest for the PM-Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana.
The competition seeks to promote awareness on solar adoption through creative visual storytelling. The themes for the reels are “PM-Surya Ghar Jan Aandolan” or “Solar for a Brighter India.”.
The competition is open to all Indian citizens. Entries must be original reels in MP4 format with a duration not exceeding 90 seconds. Reels in Hindi, English, or any vernacular language are accepted. Each participant is allowed to submit only one entry.
To submit, entries must be registered via the official campaign page with a valid contact number and email ID. They must also be uploaded to Instagram with the hashtag #MySolarReel, and the participant’s profile must be public. If entries use artificial intelligence-generated content or automated editing tools, a clear disclosure must be provided.
The top 20 entries will receive prizes worth ₹2,000 each. Winning entries may be used by the Ministry for awareness and promotional activities with due credit where possible. All rights of the selected entries will rest with the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. The Ministry will disburse the winning amount to the selected winners after publishing the Winner Announcement Blog. The content must be original and should not violate any provision of the Indian Copyright Act, of 1957. The decision of the organizers is final and binding.
