The United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) is seeking proposals from qualified proposers to Design and implement innovative multi-media initiatives supporting people-to-people diplomacy and confidence building between Georgian, Abkhaz and/or South Ossetian women, media and youth.
In its continuous efforts to promote Women, Peace and Security agenda, UN Women Georgia has been supporting efforts to support people-to-people diplomacy and confidence building interventions between Georgian, Abkhaz and South Ossetian communities focusing on promotion of active participation of women and girls in influencing peace building processes.
Objectives
- To create multi-media product/s for/on people-to-people interaction between women/youth/media in proper Georgia, Abkhazia and South Ossetia promoting peace, reconciliation and discussion around issues of shared interest;
- To promote, advance and strengthen participation of women and girls in peace building, confidence building and people to people diplomacy;
Outputs/Deliverables
The organization will produce the following deliverables:
- Detailed concept note and work plan describing the main approaches, strategies and activities to be implemented with the concrete timeline, location and persons to be responsible (by September 1, 2016);
- Proposed action completed and final multi-media product/s submitted to UN Women (by November 1, 2016)
- Final narrative report of the entire action/initiative including the progress and results achieved towards people to people diplomacy for confidence and peace building (by 20 November 2016);
Eligibility Criteria
- Be an officially registered legal entity as per Georgia’s regulations;
- At least three years of experience in designing and implementing activities/projects/programmes in the areas of human rights/social development;
- Experience in implementing activities/projects/programmes in promoting gender equality and peace-building will be considered strong assets;
- General organizational capability (minimum staffing and structure of the organization) which is likely to affect implementation: organization can demonstrate that it has already developed and implemented activities/projects using multi-media technologies having experience in implementing similar projects;
- Minimum 3 years of working experience with donor/international and/or national governmental and civil society organisations;
