Deadline: 13-Nov-2025
The Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D) under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) in collaboration with MyGov invites the citizens, especially the youth to participate in the “Video Contest on Victim-Centric New Criminal Laws” in its pursuit to make people more aware of the New Criminal Laws (NCL).
The initiative aims to involve the youth in understanding the spirit of justice reflected in the restructured legal framework and promote widespread public awareness about the rights and support systems available to victims under these new laws.
By encouraging creative participation through visual storytelling, the contest seeks to bridge the gap between legal reforms and public consciousness, ensuring that young citizens become informed advocates of justice and victim welfare.
To further motivate participants, the best video entry will be rewarded with a cash prize of ₹10,000. This contest not only serves as a platform for young creators to showcase their talent but also as an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a national dialogue on legal awareness and victim-centric justice.
The contest invites Indian citizens to create short, engaging videos in Hindi, English, or any regional language, highlighting the importance of the new victim-centric provisions introduced in the reformed criminal laws.
Each video must be between 2 to 5 minutes in duration and submitted in MP4 format. Participants are required to upload their entries as a public YouTube or Google Drive link and share the same on the MyGov platform.
The deadline for applications is 13 November 2025.
