A Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), Majalisa Macido Andaha Foundation (MMAF) in its new humanitarian gesture will train 300 youths on ‘Skills Acquisition’. This will benefit over three hundred youths. The NGO is based in Andaha, Akwanga Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
During the commissioning of its new office complex and end of the year dinner in Andaha, BoT Chairman of the foundation, Alhaji Adamu Tanko Umar, revealed this move. The BoT chairman further disclosed that the NGO will also build a town hall in Andaha and focus on its humanitarian services in the areas of health, education and the provision of social amenities.
He said, “Majalisa Macido Andaha Foundation will enter the new year 2018, with a renewed vigor of doing more for our rural dwellers through the provision of some social amenities, to alleviate their sufferings.”
Chairman of the occasion Adams Alhassan Doma, who is the special assistant to the governor of Nasarawa State on NGOs said, “An NGO is the basic element in the representation of a modern and sane community. The role of NGO is to provide basic services to the community, also noted that their roles are inseparable from the aspirations of freedom, good infrastructure to have a healthy environment. Non-governmental Organization is a basic element in the representation of a modern and sane community.
