The Oregon Community Foundation recently approved the disbursement of $335,800 in grants to support 17 projects with nonprofit organizations in Eastern Oregon.
Associate Program Officer/regional coordinator for The Oregon Community Foundation in central and Eastern Oregon Cheryl Puddy said, “The nonprofit communities in Eastern Oregon know the benefit of working together to improve quality of life and build community resiliency. Our nonprofit partners demonstrate this by providing creative solutions to much needed services in their remote regions.”
He further said, “The programs include entities that address access to health care, early learning opportunities for youth and strategies to address the changing use of rural lands. The OCF, she said, is proud to partner with them in their efforts.”
Area organizations receiving OCF grants include: Community Action Program of East Central Oregon, Pendleton; Community Counseling Solutions, Heppner; Eastern Oregon Women’s Coalition, Echo; Morrow County Health District, Heppner; Willow Creek Park District, Heppner, Baker School District, Blue Mountains Forest Partners (Mt. Vernon), Boys & Girls Club of the Western Treasure Valley (Ontario), Building Healthy Families (Enterprise), City Golf Club (Baker City), Divide Camp (Joseph), EUVALCREE (Ontario), Four Rivers Cultural Center and Museum (Ontario), Giggles & Grace Early Learner Center, Inc. (Ontario), Music Camps @ Wallowa Lake and Wallowa Land Trust (Enterprise).
