Deadline: 16-Oct-2025
The Arts Council of Northern Ireland, in partnership with the Public Health Agency and The Baring Foundation, is inviting applications for the Arts and Older People Programme 2025–2026 to promote meaningful engagement in the arts for older people.
The focus of the programme is on delivering projects that encourage participation in the arts, support health and wellbeing, and address issues of social isolation among older people. It seeks to foster creativity and artistic expression while enabling opportunities for older people to connect, share experiences, and enhance their quality of life.
Grants from £1,000 to £10,000 are available under this programme. Applications requesting less than £1,000 or greater than £10,000 will be ineligible. Successful applicants may be offered only a contribution towards the total requested amount.
Funding is available for organisations that can design and implement high-quality arts projects specifically aimed at older participants. The programme encourages innovative approaches that combine artistic practice with improved health outcomes and social inclusion. Applications should outline clear objectives, demonstrate sustainability, and show evidence of collaboration with partners to achieve maximum impact.
The Arts and Older People Programme has already delivered many successful initiatives in Northern Ireland, and the 2025–2026 round continues its commitment to ensuring older people remain active, creative, and connected through the arts.
