Deadline: 15-Aug-2025
Are you translating Buddhist texts into your local language? Do you have a proposal for research on a Buddhist topic? Are you involved in a Buddhist project in your community? If so, this call is for you!
The Khyentse Foundation is accepting applications for its Ashoka Grants Program. The program supports organizations and individuals working to preserve and promote the dharma and to increase dharma activity worldwide in innovative and lasting ways. These grants are intended for programs and projects that do not fit the criteria for Buddhist Studies Scholarships, Individual Practice Grants, or other KF awards.
Funding typically ranges from US$1,000 to $5,000. The Ashoka Grant Committees review applications from organizations and individuals actively engaged in Buddhist-related projects.
Applications will not be considered if they request funds for building or construction projects, fail to clearly explain the budget and scope, or are unrelated to Buddhism or Buddhist activity. Proposals for film projects are not accepted at this time. Applicants who have already applied for an Ashoka grant in this round, or submit applications in languages other than English, will also be ineligible. Additionally, applications for unfinished or work-in-progress books or publications intended as Buddhist education for children are not accepted; only complete manuscripts are eligible.
