The Victorian Multicultural Commission is inviting nominations for the Local Government Award to recognise government bodies for major initiatives that meet the needs of their culturally, linguistically and religiously diverse communities.
Eligibility Criteria
- Local municipal councils and government departments or agencies.
- Self-nominations are accepted.
Assessment Criteria
- Responds to culturally and linguistically diverse communities with enhanced and culturally relevant services.
- Promotes inclusive participation and engagement of culturally and linguistically diverse communities in the civic life of Victorians.
- Promotes greater communication and access between culturally and linguistically diverse communities and government.
What do I need to make a nomination?
- You will be asked 4 questions to support your nomination.
- All nominations must include contact information for 2 referees. Note: referees are compulsory.
- You may attach up to 5 additional materials to support your nomination, for example news articles, videos or referee statements.
