Deadline: 16-Dec-2025
The National Churches Trust’s Small Grant Program is now available for Christian places of worship in need of support for urgent maintenance and small repair works.
These grants are intended to assist with vital maintenance tasks and smaller repair projects that have been identified as high priority through a recent Quinquennial Inspection, Building Survey, or Condition Report. They can also cover the costs of small investigative works and surveys that may be necessary to assess a building’s condition more thoroughly.
The funding available through this stream typically ranges from £500 to £10,000, with the maximum grant capped at 50% of the total project cost. Projects must therefore be costed at no more than £80,000, including VAT and professional fees, to be eligible under this programme.
These maintenance grants are made possible thanks to a valuable partnership with the Pilgrim Trust, along with the generous contributions of other supporters. Donations from individuals, charitable trusts, Friends groups, and places of worship play a crucial role in making this funding available to churches in need.
This programme offers a practical solution for churches looking to tackle immediate issues before they escalate into larger, more costly problems.
